Some of the outfits below we have commercial relationships with some we don’t. What is consistent across all these brands, people and organisations is that we know them, we have used them and we 100% think they are great. If you have any questions contact them direct or ask us info@fitandabel.com with your query.

Aloe Up – Skin and Care Products

One of the best things about being an open water swimmer and swim coach is the sunshine, it’s also one of the worst! Endless sunshine, wind, water reflection and cloud reflection damages the skin, especially in New Zealand. Finding a sun screen that not only protects but is good for the skin and the environment was a quest. I am comfortable to admit that surfers beat us too it; Aloe Up is quite simply the answer to all of our UV problems. We can be am reassured that I’ll have lasting UV protection for the day that is not at the expense of my health nor the oceans. Nice job Aloe Up!

Body Mechanic

Wayne has been building a reputation working with people of all works of life in Christchurch for the last couple of years. Injury management, pain reduction, injury prevention … go see Wayne.

We’ve been on and on about how great SurfEars are for the last couple of years … now the same people have introduced a model of ear plug designed specifically for open water swimmers.  SwimEars can be custom fitted to your ear, allow you to continue hearing instead of blocking out all sound and come with a non intrusive strap that links the plugs (stored under your cap) and stops you losing a plug in the unlikely event it does fall out.
